Greetings, curly crew!
Greetings, curly crew! In the midst of all this madness with coronavirus, I wanted to touch base and see how you all were doing. This is a truly scary time and I think a lot of it is due to the fact that there is nothing that sets a precedent here. I mean, the last worldwide pandemic from what I understand was in 1918 with the Great Flu epidemic (to which I lost my great-grandmother when she was age 29).
I am self-isolating at home, as is much of the world, and my salon has been shut down by county order, although we had already made the decision to shut down much earlier because we were worried about the safety of our clients and of ourselves.
That doesn't mean I haven't been busy! I will be making an announcement in the next few days about what I have been up to in the last couple of weeks. Secrets, secrets! Seriously, this is something I am really excited about and I hope you all will be just as excited as well.
I promised myself I would get back to blogging because this is something I really haven't done in the last couple of years. Like everyone else, I always thought I didn't have time for the "extra" stuff, but I really like this means of communication. Now that my website provider has this super cool phone app, it will be so easy for me to do this from now on!
I have a Facebook group called Curly Girls in Florida because that is where I live and where my salon is located (Tampa Bay), but this blog is for everybody no matter where they live. So let's talk curly hair!
